What We Built in Q4: Search That Actually Works, Analytics That Matter, and More

We ended 2025 with a bang—or more accurately, with four major releases that actually solve the problems you've been telling us about. No fluff, just features that make your job easier.

We ended 2025 with a bang—or more accurately, with four major releases that actually solve the problems you've been telling us about. No fluff, just features that make your job easier.

Here's what dropped in Q4 (plus one bonus that launches next week).

Search Got a Serious Upgrade

Let's be honest: the old search experience wasn't winning any design awards. We heard you, and we completely rebuilt it from the ground up.

What's new:

  • Recently Active Hotels front and center – See which hotels have won bookings, submitted proposals, or updated their profiles in the last 24 hours. Translation: properties that actually respond quickly.
  • Auto-apply RFP criteria – One click applies all your RFP details and hotel preferences as search filters. No more manually entering the same info twice.
  • Smarter hotel cards – Scroll through four property images instead of staring at one static photo. Plus, key meeting space details are now visible before you even click through.
  • Add hotels faster – That little plus button in the corner? Instant add to RFP. No extra clicks, no navigating away from results.
  • Side drawer view – Check which hotels you've already added without bouncing between tabs.

Behind the scenes, we're constantly expanding and refreshing our hotel database to make sure you're searching through the most current, comprehensive venue data available.

Launches: January 14, 2026 (yes, next week)!

Room Blocks Just Got Way More Manageable

If you've ever tried to compare room block proposals across multiple hotels, you know the spreadsheet chaos that ensues. We built a solution.

The new Room Blocks tab gives you a detailed breakdown of proposed rates by day and by room type—all in one clean interface. Toggle between views (rates per day, room types per day, or both), filter by date range, and actually understand what hotels are quoting at a glance.

Summary metrics at the top show total room nights, rate ranges, and highest/lowest date windows so you can quickly spot outliers or identify patterns.

This was one of our most-requested planner features, and we're pretty proud of how it turned out.

PowerPoint Presentations Look Better Than Ever

Planners, remember how much you love the presentation builder? We made it even better.

The Q4 template update includes more hotel images, a cleaner layout, and an overall more polished design that you can confidently share with clients. One webinar attendee called it one of their "two favorite things about Hopskip"—so we're continuing to invest in making it the best venue comparison tool in your arsenal.

Hotel Analytics That Actually Help You Win

Hoteliers, this one's for you. We gave your premium analytics dashboards a complete overhaul and split them into four focused reports:

Sales Performance Dashboard: Your total opportunity value, opportunity-to-bookings pipeline, win rate, and ADR—all the metrics that matter for forecasting and proving ROI.

Turned Down Dashboard: See exactly why your team is saying no to business (and what that turned-down revenue adds up to). Sometimes the data tells you it's time to reconsider policies.

Lost Opportunities Dashboard: Here's where it gets interesting. The new Winning Hotel Advantages section shows you exactly why other hotels won bookings over you:

  • Room night and rate comparisons
  • Hotel types that beat you out
  • Concessions offered (by count and average value)
  • Amenities you offer but aren't listed in your Hopskip profile

Think of it as competitive intelligence that actually makes you more competitive.

Comp Set Dashboard: Compare your performance against the hotels you care about with prominent metrics for awarded booking value, room nights offered, and ADRs proposed. New feature: filter to see in-market competitors separately from out-of-market properties.

All four dashboards got visual upgrades, cleaner data tables, and better sorting functionality. They're designed to give you the insights you need to adjust strategy and close more deals.

One More Thing: Hotel Profile Completeness Matters

We added a progress banner to hotel dashboards that shows profile completeness: "Needs work," "Making progress," or "Great job."

Why does this matter? Hotels with complete profiles rank higher in search results. The logic is simple: more detail = more discoverable = more RFPs.

We auto-pull some basic info, but it's up to you to make your profile as robust as possible. The banner makes it easy to see exactly which fields still need attention.

What's Next

We're not stopping here. A few things already in the works based on your feedback:

  • Continued search improvements (this is a big focus for 2026)
  • Proposal builder streamlining for hoteliers
  • More PowerPoint template enhancements

As always, we're building what you're asking for. Keep the feedback coming—good, bad, and ugly. Our support team responds in under a minute (real humans, not bots), and we're always happy to hop on a call for personalized walkthroughs.

Here's to making 2026 the most efficient year yet for venue sourcing. Get started for free, or book a demo with a Hopskipper.
